General GTi Course Enquiries
How do I enrol on a Shetland Academy Of Beauty course?
Send and email to shetlandacaemyofbeauty@gmail.com and someone will be in touch with course dates and further info. Once your practical date is booked payment MUST be made within 48 hours or your date will be cancelled
Is there an exam for the courses?
The course theory has test questions as you work through the modules, for the Basic Makeup Non Accredited and the Makeup Diploma Courses there are case studies to complete at home. On approval of your case studies you will then be awarded your certificate
Are the GTi courses recognised qualifications worldwide?
GTi courses meet the National Occupational Standards (NOS). They are fully accredited and accepted by all the main insurance providers. However we do advise to check with your own insurance provider that they will insure you for the courses before enrolling. GTi qualifications are not on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) because they are essentially industry lead vocational qualifications which are not externally assessed. This means that some authorities, like London councils, may not accept them. This could also apply to clients who have health insurance cover wanting to claim back the cost for their treatment. If a student needs to have qualifications that are on the RQF then they should instead consider enrolling on courses such as VTCT, ITEC, NVQs etc
What is the Professional Standards course?
Professional Standards is a theory only GTi course. When you enrol for the theory of a GTi Theory + Practical course, the Professional Standards course is also loaded onto your GTi course account to complete, at no extra cost. You need to complete the theory for Professional Standards first before completing your course theory
